What happens to your images

The short version: nobg.cc never receives your images. Background removal happens entirely inside your browser, on your own device.

Your images

When you upload a photo, it is loaded into the page and processed locally by an on-device model. The file is not sent to any server, not stored, and not shared with any third party. Close the tab and it is gone. There is no "deleted after processing" step because there is nothing on the server side to delete.

What the page does download

The first time you remove a background, the AI model (44-176 MB, depending on the option) downloads from staticimgly.com, the CDN of IMG.LY, who publish the open-source removal library. That request carries no image data, and your browser caches the model afterwards. You can watch every request in your browser’s developer tools - the no-upload guide shows how.

Analytics

The site uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Plausible) to count page views and understand which tools are used. It does not track you across sites, build a profile, or collect personal information.
